Please let it be true but Wikipedia has updated info on Grace.
" New remastered editions of "Portfolio", "Muse", and "Fame" are set to be released in 2009. This will mark the first time "Muse" has been commercially available on CD. Also on the way is a 2 CD Deluxe Edition of "Nightclubbing" from Island Records to coincide with the record labels 50th Anniversary"Jones may release the "lost" album "Black Marylin" independently in 2009, along with a compilation of tracks recorded between "Bulletproof Heart" and "Hurricane".
I along with everyone else in this forum i'm sure, hopes that this is indeed going to come to fruition as MUSE on CD is way overdue.
Who knows they may even decide to include remastering A One Man Show on DVD as part of the anniversary, but I guess that would be waaaaay too much to expect.

Sounds too good to be true. Thank you for this info. Let's all hope...
I LOVE her disco era, those first 3 albums. I have first two as original CDs, I payed A LOT of money for "Fame", that's the most I've ever payed for a CD (and I have lots of out-of-print/hard-to-find CDs).
Since Grace is a VISUAL phenomenon as much as a SONIC phenomenon, it's really hard to understand WHY (oh, why) she does not have not a single DVD released yet??? I would be the first in line to buy it. There could have been one DVD (single or even double disc!) with all her promo-videos plus the appearances on various TV shows from all over the world... than a DVD with a show from one tour... than a DVD with a show from other tour...
Well, I can dream, can't I?
You know what? When I see her in Montreux in a few weeks, I'm gonna ask her that - about "Muse" CD release and about DVD releases.

To my personal knowledge, "Muse" is not being released on compact disc. I could be wrong, but there isn't any money in it for the record company. Unless Grace was making a splash bigger than Michael Jackson (I don't mean his death), only then would the copyright owner consider releasing it on CD. That's the unfortunate truth about the industry. However, for my own archive, I have obtained sealed copies of MUSE the album (vinyl) and have remastered it digitally. I spent about several hours to days -per track-. I truly and authentically remastered it. I was going to give Grace herself a copy, but I have not seen her in a while. I miss the days back in Chicago at The Vic, Congress Theatre, House Of Blues, Vortex and of course the first time I saw her...at "The Rage." Beware of people claiming they have "Muse" on CD. Anyone can record a record to a compact disc--but has anyone out there payed ludicrous amounts of money to get archived, sealed copies of this treasure and then authentically remastered it? I must be truly strange. ---Mathew.

I cannot officially say there will be a Grace Jones DVD. However, for my own archive and that of Miss Jones, I have obtained all three of her laser discs, and have remastered the material for DVD archiving. I have also been able to obtain actual footage many of her overseas (European) television performances, such as Stryx, and the multitude of Italian TV show appearances. Additionally, I have obtained an archived copy of promotional video clips--with some having more than one version to them...and they are currently all in the process of being remastered. This in fact, does include the complete "pull up to the bumper" video clip, not the editted versions. There is also some additional audio tracks -never before- heard from One Man Show...

This collection will be audio and video as well---keep reading. It also includes the original "I Need A Man" promotional video out take which was from the first Grace Jones video concert before One Man Show...the one with the lion. It also includes the out take of the video clip "Sorry" with the cylce and the dancers. Then the collection moves forward and includes later favorites such as "I'm Not Perfect," "Love On Top Of Love," "Love Bites," and live performances as well. I also have the actual promotional DVD of "Corporate Cannibal," direct (no logos) as well as "William's Blood." The name of one of the collections is called "C---"--oh now let's keep it a secret for a while... I don't want to spoil it. : )

I have spent MANY years putting this together and it's for a, um, specific person, you might say.

Each video set will correspond with a completely remastered and expanded album collection, and they will be boxed completely different to any typical CD you have seen--ever.

Now, unfortunately, I have to keep my big mouth shut and stop typing. Keep your fingers crossed ladies and gentlemen and we'll see what happens. : )

Hello there,
I'm dreaming of those releases too, but although Grace's come back with "Hurricane" is a big event, I doubt Island/Universal would invest money in re-releases of her first albums. You can think I'm pessimistic but with the worldwide crisis, especially in the music industry, record companies tend to stop releases for several artists.
Why did Universal cancelled the double deluxe CD of Nightclubbing which was planned for a release in May 2006? Why did Universal/Island never released "A One Man Show" on DVD? I met Jean-Paul Goude two years ago and asked him about it. He told me he couldn't do anything as Polygram/Universal own the rights of the programme. About the release of Grace's show at the Roseland (some images are included in Jean-Paul Goude's DVD included in his book "So Far So Goude"), Jean-Paul told me the release of the whole show on DVD is not possible as the show itself isn't good enough. It would deserve Grace's image so she wouldn't give her permission for the release.
Island 50's anniversary is the perfect opportunity to release "Portfolio", "Fame", "Muse" and "Nightclubbing" with a new remasterization and bonus tracks (rare, longer versions, remixes, etc...). But do they care about Grace's material? I doubt!

Anyway, it's nice to be here on this forum I've just discovered.

Love from Jean-Marie (Paris, France)

I would absolutely love to see Muse released on CD. Ever since I got it on vinyl years ago, it has been my favorite Grace Jones album. I think it's incredibly sad that this phenomenal piece of art isn't available on CD.

In addition, I'd love to find some of Grace's B-Sides and what not released on CD. I have not been able to find Again and Again anywhere.

Grace is such a visual artist. It is a shame that there aren't any DVDs of her live shows (especially the tour for Hurricane) or her music videos.
